90% Time-to-Market Acceleration
From design file to documented production-ready design system
Key Tools & Techniques
- Google Antigravity
- Gemini 3
- Figma MCP
- Material Design 3 & Theme Builder Plugin
- Storybook

01
Challenge
Solving the design-to-development hand-off friction by establishing a living, governed design system that translates design files into reusable, cross-platform components
02
Process

Leveraged open-source resources for this experiment. By using the Material Theme Builder Plugin, I rapidly customized the Google-provided Material Design 3 file (colors and fonts) to instantly achieve the desired look and feel changes

Utilized Google Gemini 3 via Google Antigravity to build the requirements document and implementation plan, and then used targeted prompts to create a step-by-step, iterative acceptance process for the complex design system

Complete design system documentation was built on Storybook, offering a user-friendly resource for both developers and designers

Implementing Chromatic to ensure the design system's stability through automated visual testing and seamless Storybook documentation versioning

Key Takeaways
90% Time-to-Market Acceleration. Reduced the typical 3-month timeline (estimated by LLM) for establishing a foundational, multi-platform design system to just a few days
Established a structured, iterative acceptance process and comprehensive documentation. This high level of governance and automation minimizes future friction and ensures the system remains scalable and maintainable.
The project delivered a system that is both aesthetically compliant with brand standards and technically stable for developers, guaranteeing consistency across all user experiences.
