Challenge

Vision Bank, a leading Saudi digital bank, faced market fatigue as users sought more than transactional tools. The challenge was to build an experience-driven AI co-pilot using emotional and behavioral intelligence to autonomously enhance wealth and habits—setting a new benchmark for personalized digital banking.

PHASE 1: Opportunity Analysis & Value Strategy

I built the foundation here: benchmarking global AI-banking leaders and mapping unmet needs in Saudi Arabia to find the high-impact zones, then identifying the financial pain points where AI could create habit-driven delight. The value strategy made the decisive move — from recommending actions to taking them autonomously — and set the North Star metrics we would steer by.

Highlights

Defined the Al implementation approach and data integration level to achieve the highest tier of customer

Conducted a lesson-learned analysis from the global fintech and banking sectors regarding Al agents

Analyzed market inspirations and concepts to understand the state-of-the-art and the art of the possibleProject Description

Established a concrete strategy and pillars of the experience for the new agent concept

PHASE 2: Conceptual Design & Prototyping

In concept design I turned the strategy into something tangible — designing the co-pilot’s core conversational flows and weaving in behavioral science so the journey delivered that habit-driven delight. The central tension was autonomy versus trust: the more the agent acts on its own, the more the experience has to earn confidence, so proactive moves were paired with moments that keep the user in control.

PHASE 3: Early Validation & Implementation Analysis

I validated the concept in detailed reviews with business and technical stakeholders to confirm the value and readiness before scaling. It then became a working demo — the AI engine integrated into Vision Bank’s ecosystem — proving the idea could live in the real product, not just a deck.

Outcomes

A comprehensive, validated concept for the "Financial Co-pilot" AI agent was successfully delivered, defining the Unique Selling Proposition (USP), target user journeys

Crucial consensus and sign-off were secured from leadership and technical teams on the ambitious concept, ensuring full organizational alignment on the strategic necessity and execution plan for the experience-driven AI disruption

The project successfully defined the specific, measurable metrics (including predicted NPS and savings uplift) that will be used to track the agent's success upon deployment

An implementation roadmap was created and approved by key stakeholders, outlining the necessary data integration, core technology stack, and business case for the autonomous AI agent
